ShareDDB’s Charity Art Auction

We are proud to have helped raise funds for the James Lee Foundation and the Covenant House by performing a live painting in collaboration with Mike Nowland of Company Policy. Our piece was done in 30 minutes with spray paint, markers and acrylic paint. This year’s auction benefits the James Lee Foundation, giving grants to youth with creative aspirations, and Covenant House, an organization helping street youth on their way to better lives. Big thanks to Kumiko Ide for successfully bidding on our piece. We would also like to thank Edwin Cheng of Osler Zoo Photography for shooting the video for us.

Did this little type scribble in less than 20 seconds but it pulled in over 2,000 views within 12 hours and now it’s at over 3,100 views via Flickr. We’re baffled but pleased. Keep those views coming!

This made me smile when I first came across this in San Francisco 2 weeks ago. For those who don’t know the reference, it’s from Zelda back in the day.

Cannes Lions 58th International Festival of Creativity

After 3 full days of absorbing every aspect of the festival and learning from the best creative leaders in the world we spent the rest of the week exploring the south of France. Initially we wanted to start a photo series of our Chairman Ting x Cannes Lions art pieces but our DSLR broke on the second day of the trip so we scrapped the entire idea and just enjoyed the festival without worrying about lugging around 2 freak’n heavy lions around. Blessing in disguise? Maybe. Before leaving Cannes for Saint Tropez and Nice we snapped these two shots with our a little point and shoot in front of the Palais. We’re definitely thinking of going back next year. No doubt.
